WasteMate

Three WasteMate models for different collection needs

120 and 240 litre units with internal press and solar power; Basic without compactor for specific fractions or monitoring-only setups. Each page lists capacity, monitoring and documented use cases.

How it works

Compaction and collection monitoring

WasteMate 120 and 240 use an internal press for more effective capacity; across the smart range fill levels can be sent to the platform. WasteMate Basic has no compactor but can still include sensors and monitoring.

  1. Deposit

Users deposit waste in the bin; the hatch can lock when the container is reported full.

  2. Compaction

On 120 and 240 models the vertical press compacts waste in the nominal volume (typical ratio around 1:5–1:7 depending on waste stream).

  3. Fill detection

Sensors measure fill level and send data over the cellular network; Basic and other containers can use Sensoneo sensors.

  4. Collection planning

Maps, alerts and reports in CleanCityManager help plan emptying based on actual fill levels.

How we work

From your requirements to configuration

A four-step path for your litter-bin fleet: context review, choice between compaction, sensors and platform, WasteMate model definition and technical-commercial support through pilot or supply.

  1. We review your requirements

We map hot spots, footfall, collected fractions, emptying frequency and appearance or access constraints in public space.

  2. We identify the system

We compare WasteMate compacting bins, Sensoneo sensors, the CleanCityManager platform and an integrated setup against your existing fleet.

  3. We define the configuration

We choose the 120, 240 or Basic model, monitoring level, graphic wrap and alert rules on the platform.

  4. We support your decision

We provide technical sheets, a commercial proposal and support for a pilot or rollout across your territory.

WasteMate compacting litter bin questions

It is an on-street litter bin with an internal vertical press, solar power and, on smart models, fill-level sensing and remote management. Bunder Company distributes WasteMate in 120 L and 240 L sizes, for outdoor or indoor use, with hot-dip galvanized steel, powder coating and stainless-steel details.

The press compacts waste in the nominal volume with an indicative ratio of about 1:5–1:7, depending on the waste stream. You gain more useful capacity in the same outer footprint than a traditional bin, with fewer emptying trips when flows and fill data support it.

120 L suits streets, squares and moderate flows; 240 L suits stations, promenades, large squares and peaks. Basic, in the same volumes, has no compaction press—useful for glass, organic or sites that only need fill monitoring. Compare product pages or ask the commercial team for a review.

Fill-level detection can lock the deposit door when the unit is full and notify the web platform that emptying is required. The aim is to prevent overflow, cut empty trips and schedule collections only when needed.

Smart WasteMate units already send fill data; CleanCityManager centralises maps, levels, alerts and reports for the litter-bin fleet and, if agreed, other Sensoneo-equipped containers. Scope and licences are defined during the commercial project.

Where on-street collection often saturates traditional bins: historic centres, parks and promenades, transport hubs, tourism areas and high footfall. We review footprint, solar exposure, emptying vehicle access and integration with the local service.

Use the contact form with locations, waste streams and siting constraints, or email info@bunder.it or call the number on the contact page. The Bunder Company commercial team handles Bunder Urban and the wider group offer.

Outdoor models are built for intensive public use, with emptying and planned inspections as agreed with the client and operator. Routine and extraordinary maintenance and after-sales support run through Bunder Company commercial channels defined in the contract.
